Hedgefyre Festival is happening Saturday, June 14, from 4 – 10pm at The Shaku Bar in NE Portland. We’ll be one of 5 bands playing, along with the ever so smooth DJ Big Booty Judy spinning vinyl between sets.

🔥 what 🔥

Hedgefire is a mostly indie rock / alt country / new wave cover band borne from an hours-long, post-wedding jam session in May 2023. Our good friend Rudi Pšeničnik named the band. The logo was craig Alimo’s inspired attempt to channel Rudi’s vision into a custom drumhead, which we proudly display at gigs.

We play songs we like from bands / artists including The Cure, Elliott Smith, Lyle Lovett, The Phoenix Foundation, Poi Dog Pondering, Pomplamoose, Rocky Votolato, The Shins, The Talking Heads, Wilco, and others.

Hedgefire has no set roster, but consists of [m]any of Andrew Hedges, Mike Baran, Melody Baran, Valerie Witte, Andrew Dent, craig Alimo, Dale Conboy, Ainsley Sterret, and Justin Pot on woodblock that one time.
